I used an older version of RescuePro that was installed on an old computer we have. It worked great! Not only was I able to see and retrieve the pix that had been deleted, I was able to see all of the pix that were on it previously, even though it had been formatted!! So awesome!!

Some of my recovered pictures showed up in the RescuePRO preview but did not load back into my photo program. To be fair there it may have been a defective flash disk but it's still frustrating to see the thumbnail but not be able to take it further.

A few problems...
First up, the latest release is v3.5, not v3.3.
The software also wouldn't install properly. Tech support have been brilliant, and very patient walking through options. In the end I had to manually frig the install to get it to work.
Not used the product in anger yet. Will do a some point soon.

I am not very satisfied with your policy: yesterday I just replace my PowerMac G4 by a new Mac min, and the program code (RPRID-0304-68766-22659-40436) was not accepted on my new computer. As a faithful customer (I own actually 6 SanDisk CF and SD cards) it was a bad surprise to be confronted to a so sad situation... Regards

lost 500 images on a 8Gb scandisk card - maybe because the camera had problems or wasn't updated with the latest firmware. rescuePRO worked perfekt. all images are "back".

A friend asked if I could help her recover photos of her sister's 80th birthday party she'd accidentally deleted. I told her I could do it. So I downloaded your software, recovered the photos and solved the problem...all in less than half an hour. Thanks for a great, easy-to-use product!

Rescue Pro performed perfectly. It recovered my files from a CF card that for some reason had been corrupted. I would recommended it to anyone using a MAC platform.

Didn't seem to be able to retrieve images that were deleted in-camera. I get the feeling that only images deleted from the SD card via your computer's trash when connected via USB are retrievable?

Absolutely useless if you want to recover iTunes files or library. Despite the product description it does NOT (repeat NOT) recover .m4a files. Instead it converts the m4a files in .wav-like files that cannot be imported back into iTunes. A shame of a product for almost $ 100.

I first got Rescue Pro as a bundle with an SD card (San disk extreme III), but it was provided on a mini CD which can't be loaded on my Imac or macbook. I therefore downloaded the software from your website. It seems that it is a demo version, and I did'nt find any place to write what looks like a serial number as provided with the mini-CD (RPRID-0303-......). Is the downloaded RescuePro really a demo version and is there any way to write the serial number ?

Question about Product
I have this small disk. It is approximately 3" in diameter, with a hole in the middle. It says "Installatin CD Version: 3.0 data recovery software for any memory card format. This is a mini CD that fits in the center of your CD tray. 2005 SanDisk Corporation."
I think it came with my computer, an iMac with OS X, which I bought in 2006. What is it supposed to be used for?
Thanks for your quick reply.

Hit or miss
I used Rescue pro to retrieve some images I had deleted on this Tuesday afternoon. SHot over those on wednesday. Unfortunately, it didn't retrieve them, it did however retrieve other images from the beginning of the month. IT seems to me to be a hit or miss kind of thing.

Rescued me!
Worked exactly as advertised. I thought that all was lost, Disk Utility couldn't repair the disk, Disk Warrior didn't want to know but RescuePro didn't seem to have any problems!? I did have trouble saving what it had found but I accessed the hidden private folder on my hard drive and a cached version of all the images were there and easily copied to another folder. (Select 'Go to Folder' in Go Tab of finder, type Private whilst you have your Hard Drive folder open
and in view, a hidden folder will appear 'Private', navigate to the RescuePro folder and there all of your images. Quicker than saving them individually or opening them through another app.)

mini cd and macbook
Hello, I got a copy of RescuePRO when I purchased a SD card for my camera. I used it successfully on my PC and was happy. I now have a macbook laptop and I can't use the mini disc that the software came on. I tried copying the files to a memory stick but I cannot make it work. I thought I could download it again and use the product key on the disc but I had no luck doing this either. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks

How to get RescuePRO for Mac on a MacBook Pro
I got RescuePro on a mini CD with a SanDisk Compact Flash card.
The problem is that a mini CD can not be inserted in the CD/DVD slot (on Mac portables, CD are slided in the CD reader, not deposited in a drawer).
In principle, that's not a big deal. Having the Product Key, it's only a matter of downloading the application, get it installed, type in the Product Key and voila.
Apparently on can download a test version of RescuePro (limited, no save function) or buy a complete version!
In fact it's useless, unless you can inform on how to get/download the non restricted application.
On the other hand, I wanted to select a "Poor ease of use" only. As
appreciation must be given also to Interface, Features, and Price/value, I had no other choice than choosing Poor.

V. LIBERT

Thanks RESCUE Pro for MAC !!!
I purchased RESCUEPro for MAC because my XD card suddenly stopped letting me download images in it. I suddenly got the "card not initialized" message everytime I turn on my camera. I came about the RESCUEPro website thru Google and downloaded it. I was successful in retrieving the images I thought I may already have lost. The software is so good that it also retrieve the images I have recorded and deleted many months prior. It is definitely worth the price I paid for it. I highly recommend this software to anyone. FYI...I have a MAC with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and it worked just fine.

I had to find another program that worked with raw files. This would be a great program if it would work with the raw format.

Saved my lost photos!
The program worked flawlessly in finding what had not been erased on the disk. Would only wish that it could retain the correct file numbering that the camera gave it.
My only other comment is that the English and grammer on your web site and follow up email is extremely poor is difficult to understand and does not reflect what I would expect from a site associated with a big brand name such as SanDisk.
Thanks for retrieving my images safely!

Can`t Review
The downloaded file (on the Mac) was RPMAC-v32-DEMO.bin. When I double-clicked it, VLC ran, tried to open the file, and pronounced it bogus. So, you should ignore the feature ratings, since I didn't actually get the product to run. Unfortunately, this review process doesn't have a "Not Applicable" column for reviewing the features.
Plan B: I installed Active Undelete on a Windows XP box, plugged the camera card into a reader, and recovered the files that iPhoto had deleted from the camera card (from a Canon EOS digital). Took five minutes.
By the way, on the Mac, I had imported photos using iPhoto, connecting the camera via USB, and telling iPhoto to delete the pix from the camera card after importing them to the Mac. Unfortunately, iPhoto has a diabolical feature: when it encounters a "camera raw" file on the memory card, it "helpfully" converts it to a JPG, and stores the JPG in the iPhoto library. When it's been told to delete the originals from the camera card, it of course then does so. So, you're left with JUST the JPG iPhoto generated from the camera raw file. Only an idiot would think I would shoot in camera raw, and then accept a JPG in my photo library instead; iPhoto is off my dock permanently.
