Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 32
Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 46

I first got Rescue Pro as a bundle with an SD card (San disk extreme III), but it was provided on a mini CD which can't be loaded on my Imac or macbook. I therefore downloaded the software from your website. It seems that it is a demo version, and I did'nt find any place to write what looks like a serial number as provided with the mini-CD (RPRID-0303-......). Is the downloaded RescuePro really a demo version and is there any way to write the serial number ?

Worked exactly as advertised. I thought that all was lost, Disk Utility couldn't repair the disk, Disk Warrior didn't want to know but RescuePro didn't seem to have any problems!? I did have trouble saving what it had found but I accessed the hidden private folder on my hard drive and a cached version of all the images were there and easily copied to another folder. (Select 'Go to Folder' in Go Tab of finder, type Private whilst you have your Hard Drive folder open
and in view, a hidden folder will appear 'Private', navigate to the RescuePro folder and there all of your images. Quicker than saving them individually or opening them through another app.)

Hello, I got a copy of RescuePRO when I purchased a SD card for my camera. I used it successfully on my PC and was happy. I now have a macbook laptop and I can't use the mini disc that the software came on. I tried copying the files to a memory stick but I cannot make it work. I thought I could download it again and use the product key on the disc but I had no luck doing this either. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks

I got RescuePro on a mini CD with a SanDisk Compact Flash card.
The problem is that a mini CD can not be inserted in the CD/DVD slot (on Mac portables, CD are slided in the CD reader, not deposited in a drawer).

In principle, that's not a big deal. Having the Product Key, it's only a matter of downloading the application, get it installed, type in the Product Key and voila.

Apparently on can download a test version of RescuePro (limited, no save function) or buy a complete version!

In fact it's useless, unless you can inform on how to get/download the non restricted application.

On the other hand, I wanted to select a "Poor ease of use" only. As
appreciation must be given also to Interface, Features, and Price/value, I had no other choice than choosing Poor.

I purchased RESCUEPro for MAC because my XD card suddenly stopped letting me download images in it. I suddenly got the "card not initialized" message everytime I turn on my camera. I came about the RESCUEPro website thru Google and downloaded it. I was successful in retrieving the images I thought I may already have lost. The software is so good that it also retrieve the images I have recorded and deleted many months prior. It is definitely worth the price I paid for it. I highly recommend this software to anyone. FYI...I have a MAC with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and it worked just fine.
